The Grounds for this Indictment are: 10-90 came through dispatch, When we arrived at the scene, the suspect was in the back with a hostage hitting the safe. 901 Brittany Walters went in side to hear the demands, we granted him safe passage and led into a chase. 901 Walters and 515 Scott cleared the store and learned there was no real hostage, we then continued to help with the chase. The case ended on Meteor St. The suspect then proceeded to run around avoiding arrest and hit officer 604 Morgan with his fist. We tased and arrested him. He received medical at Zonah and later identified him as Matthew Noris at MRPD. Mr. Noris pled not guilty to the assault/battery on a Gov. Employee for his reasoning is that the officer 604 Morgan hitting him with the police car. He was informed if he pled guilty he would only serve 50 months in jail and pay the 1900 fine. If he pled not guilty he would stay in jail until trial. He pled not guilty. He is currently serving his time at Bolingbroke awaiting trial.

To The Honorable Mason Harlow,

My name is Matthew Norris and I am hereby requesting the dismissal of my case and immediate release. I have been incarcerated since November 3rd, 2022, today is November 25th, 2022. I have lost many months, years even, while waiting for my ticket to be called or even established within this justice system.

As of today, I cannot go any longer. There are limited public defenders available. However, my rights have been severely violated under the constitution in Los Santos. More importantly, my 6th amendment has been violated, giving me the right to a speedy trial to prove my innocence to a jury of my peers.

From what I have been reading about law while being locked up, I have the right to a speedy trial within a certain amount of days after my arrest. I have not been afforded that opportunity and in part, respectfully request the immediate dismissal of my case and my release from prison. I thank you for your time and wait to hear back from the DOC regarding my release from Bolingbroke Penn.
